This project was a recent entry for a job application, to create a piece of packaging for a chocolate line. Intrigued by the company’s best selling product, chocolate slabs with intricate designs or typography, I developed this line of chocolate bars for a Halloween line inspired by ‘creepy’ literary figures. The chocolate bars themselves have lines from the poems, and the packaging is decorated in rough scribblings and ink splatters in the shapes of the poem subjects (ravens etc.). The paper wrapping sits in a laser cut sleeve with the outline of an eerie forest silhouette. A nod to the work by Edgar Allan Poe and Lewis Carroll, it was a unique take on a seasonal line.
